Blizzard’s description
Put an end to the Battle for Azeroth by completing the following achievements.

What the Battle for Azeroth meta achievement asks for

The raids come first: Uldir, Battle of Dazar'alor, Crucible of Storms, The Eternal Palace and Ny'alotha, the Waking City. Uldir and Battle of Dazar'alor must be done on Normal difficulty or higher, while Crucible of Storms, two bosses on any difficulty, is the cheapest raid of the meta. For the last boss of Ny'alotha, the legendary cloak has to be in your bags, or the queue disappears.

Battle for Azeroth Dungeon Hero asks for the eight original dungeons on Heroic or higher. One of them, Heroic: Waycrest Manor, is earned per character rather than per account.

The largest branch by far is I'm On Island Time: the rares and treasures of every zone, exploration, the zone storylines, and Wide World of Quests, a hundred different world quests across both continents. The zone storylines are split by faction: the Zandalar ones are Horde only, the Kul Tiras ones Alliance only.

War Stories follows the war campaign of both factions, with several chapters earned per character. Azerothian Diplomat asks for six reputations at Revered, and Expedition Leader gathers the island expeditions: a Mythic win on every island, and fifty Mythic wins for Expert Expeditioner.

The patch content makes up the rest: Undersea Usurper in Nazjatar, Mecha-Done on Mechagon, Black Empire State of Mind for the N'Zoth assaults, Through the Depths of Visions for the Horrific Visions and Full Heart, Can't Lose for the Heart of Azeroth. Add Maximum Effort, Dressed to Kill: Battle for Azeroth for eight appearance sets, and To All the Squirrels I Set Sail to See, twelve critters to love.

The objectives that take the longest

In this meta, the calendar matters as much as difficulty. Junkyard Machinist is a hundred construction projects at one a day, so a hundred days at best. Making the Mount takes twelve days, Periodic Destruction one summon a week for thirteen weeks, and Let's Bee Friends a daily quest seven days running.

Others wait on a rotation: the islands rotate three a week, one of the Uldum assaults comes round less often than the others, and It's Not A Tumor! only exists during one of the six assaults. Starting these early, and keeping an eye on what is left in the tracker, saves the most time.

A few also hide a requirement: Have a Heart, the neck Magni hands you, is silently required by several unrelated achievements, and Unwavering Resolve, cloak rank 15, gates the hardest Horrific Vision achievements.

The reward: Jani's Trashpile

Completing A Farewell to Arms awards the Jani's Trashpile mount. The full reward, as Blizzard words it:
