What the achievement asks
Defeat all thirteen creatures that can be created in Mardivas's Laboratory. Ten points, account-wide, both factions.
The laboratory sits in Nazjatar and runs on a weekly quest, The Laboratory of Mardivas. Each week you summon one elemental and kill it. Thirteen creations, one per week: this achievement takes thirteen weeks and there is no way to shorten it.
How the laboratory works
Three arcane reagents drop from Nazjatar creatures:
- Strange Volcanic Rock, the fire reagent
- Strange Mineralized Water, the water reagent
- Strange Oceanic Sediment, the sand reagent
The laboratory has six crystals, three lesser and three greater. A summon takes either nothing at all, one lesser crystal filled, or one lesser and one greater. You confirm the mix at the Essence Amalgamator and the creature appears.
Benthic gear carrying the Elemental Instincts effect raises the drop rate of the reagents. Wearing a few pieces while you work through the zone is the only way to influence the supply.
Across all thirteen combinations you will need seven of each reagent.

Two things that save a wasted week
Dying does not cost you the week. If the elemental despawns because you went down, you can build it again at the Amalgamator straight away, and the reagents you spent are not lost. The weekly limit is on the quest, not on the summon.
You cannot borrow someone else's. While you are on the laboratory quest you are phased away from other players' summons, so joining a group to knock out several in one sitting does not work. Thirteen weeks means thirteen weeks.
Plan the order before you start, and keep a note of which combinations you have done. Repeating one by accident costs a full week and there is no in-game list telling you which creature came from which mix.
