Completing it awards the Taivan mount and a decor item. Most of it is account-wide, so your alts can share the work, but a few objectives stay tied to the character.
Usher in the second Age of Dragons by completing the following achievements.
What the Dragonflight meta achievement asks for
Three raids: Vault of the Incarnates, Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible and Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope, every boss of each on any difficulty, and account-wide.
Myths of the Dragonflight Dungeons asks for the eight dungeons on Mythic. Unlike the raids, these count per character, and Mythic needs a premade group: the queue does not offer it.
Then the story half: Loremaster of the Dragon Isles for the main and optional storylines of the four zones, Dragon Quests for the dragonflight storylines, Friend of the Dragon Isles for the renown questlines, and Oh My God, They Were Clutchmates for renown and friendship with every faction of the expansion. Dragon Isles Pathfinder adds exploration of six zones and the Embers of Neltharion campaign.
Across the Isles is the largest branch: Grand Hunts, the Community Feast in Iskaara, Time Rifts, the primal storms, the Siege on Dragonbane Keep, and the rares and treasures of every zone. Then come the patch zones: You Know How to Reach Me for the Forbidden Reach, Que Zara(lek), Zara(lek) for Zaralek Cavern and Dream On for the Emerald Dream.
Last, Now THIS is Dragon Racing!: bronze on every race course, normal, advanced and reverse, plus the dragon glyphs of seven zones. Bronze simply means finishing the race.
The objectives that take the longest
Treasures look quick, but each one is looted only once on your account, and the treasure achievements want all of them, not a selection. Renown and friendship build up over many sessions, and some Forbidden Reach objectives are counted in hundreds: Door Buster asks for 150 vault doors, Hoarder of the Forbidden Reach for 100 small treasures.
A few objectives are tied to the character rather than the account: the Mythic dungeons, Through the Ashes and Flames, Dream Shaper and Super Duper Bloom. An alt who does them does not complete them for your main.
The reward: Taivan
Completing A World Awoken awards the Taivan mount. The full reward, as Blizzard words it:
Mount Reward: Taivan; Decor Reward: The Great Hoard

Track A World Awoken with your character
The tracker reads your character’s achievements and shows, for each of the 14 requirements, what is done and what is left. The guides cover every objective of the meta, one page each.
