What the achievement asks
Obtain 100 Odd Globs of Wax. Five points, account-wide.
The wax comes from Disturbed Earth, small dig sites scattered across Khaz Algar. Each one you click plays a short event and hands over wax.
The problem is seeing them
Disturbed Earth is a patch of soil on the ground. At normal graphics settings, flying over a zone, you will miss almost all of them, which is why a hundred sounds like an evening and turns into three.
The method players use to do it in under an hour is entirely about visibility.
Turn on outline mode. In the graphics settings, set Outline Mode to High, View Distance and Environment Detail to 10, and Ground Clutter to 0. In the interface settings, make sure Outline Mode is not disabled. Disturbed Earth then shows a coloured outline through the terrain.
Drink an Inky Black Potion. It darkens the world so the outlines stand out. Buy it from the auction house or, more cheaply, at the Darkmoon Faire.
The Inky Black Potion does not work in Hallowfall. Use it in The Ringing Deeps, where players report it working properly.
Switch to Steady Flight. Skyriding is too fast for this. You will be dismounting constantly and fighting your vigor, and at speed you fly straight past dig sites. Slower and lower finds more.

One event is worth many
Each Disturbed Earth triggers a different little event, and most give you a single glob. One of them is different: the ground cracks open and erupts wax into the air, which you catch by standing in the falling circles.
Every glob you catch that way counts. It is the only dig site that gives more than one, so when you see the ground crack, stop and work it properly rather than moving on.
