What the achievement asks
Eat An Unforgettable Luncheon at one specific spot in Stormsong Valley. Five points.
The whole achievement is a picnic. It has a reputation anyway, because there are five ways to do it wrong and none of them tells you what went wrong.
Getting a luncheon
It comes from the Discarded Lunchbox, one of the ten treasures of Stormsong Valley, so you may already have opened the box and be carrying the luncheon without knowing.
Do not open the luncheon where you find it. It has to be eaten at the right place, and eating it anywhere else simply consumes it.
You can also buy more, and it is worth buying two or three: the walk to the spot is four minutes, and a failed attempt costs you the whole trip.
If you have only just looted the treasure, log out and back in before trying to open it or to buy more.
The spot
The way up is on the west side, through the area with the elite ettins. There is no path from the other sides.
At the top you will find a blanket with pillows. Stand on the blanket, whatever your coordinates say: the spot is the object, not the number.
The five ways to fail
Dismount before you use it. Opening the luncheon while mounted does nothing, and that is the single most common wasted trip.
- Standing, not sitting or kneeling. Sitting down to eat is the natural thing to do and it does not work.
- Not shapeshifted. Stag and moonkin form both fail.
- Out of combat.
- Two free bag slots, because the luncheon unpacks into something.
- Dismounted, as above.
None of these produce an error message. You simply get nothing, and the walk back is four minutes.
