Shoo the Lost Spawn of Krag'wa towards home in Nazmir.

  • Lost Spawn of Krag'wa shooed

Shoo ten hidden Lost Spawn of Krag'wa across Nazmir

What the achievement asks

Ten baby frogs, called Lost Spawn of Krag'wa, have wandered off across Nazmir. Your job is to find each one and shoo it back home.

Shooing is just interacting with the frog: walk up to it, click on it, and it hops away. There is nothing to kill, no group needed, and no quest to pick up first. It is a scavenger hunt across a single zone, and the only criterion is Lost Spawn of Krag'wa shooed (10).

There is no pet or mount at the end, just five achievement points, whatever the green toad icon suggests.

Progress is account-wide, so frogs you shoo on one character count towards the achievement on all of them. That matters later, so keep it in mind.

The route

Two of the ten frogs sit in underwater caves. Three more are placed relative to rares: Glompmaw, King Kooba and an Infected Direhorn, none of which you need to kill.

That order runs across the north of the zone, down the east side, along the south, then back up the west.

Shoo each frog dismounted, out of combat and out of stealth, and check the tracker for the +1 before moving on. It costs a few seconds per frog and it is the difference between a twenty minute achievement and an afternoon spent re-treading the zone.

The ten frogs, one by one

Sethrak Front (25.68, 40.57)

North-west Nazmir. There is a snake camp here called Sethrak Front, and the frog sits under the roots of a big tree beside it, directly behind a caged undead named Anna Bizrim. Moss hangs off those roots and screens it, so it is quite possible to stand right on top of it and see nothing.

This is one of the most commonly missed of the ten.

Nazmir ruins (52.83, 42.85)

The centre of the zone, slightly north, above the Heart of Darkness, on a stretch of road with no subzone name of its own. There is a ruined building beside the road with two separate empty spaces inside it.

The frog is at ground level. Searching the upper floor of the building where King Kooba sits is the single most common way to waste time here.

Look on the ground floor of the ruins and in the cave-like space underneath the walkway. It sits low, and it is easy to walk straight over it while scanning the storey above.

Razorjaw River (65.57, 50.93)

East side of Nazmir, in the river. The frog is inside an underwater cave beneath a tree, on a small island with schools of Razorjaw Chompers swimming around it. The entrance is just north of the coordinate.

If you arrive and find a clam sitting where you expected a frog, you are in the right cave and you have already shooed this one.

This is one of the two caves behind nearly every problem with this achievement. See the section further down.

The Shattered River (69.57, 58.66)

Also on the east side, near the Frogmarsh area. Find the pond where the rare Glompmaw swims. The frog is in that same pond, in a cave in its south-eastern part, deep inside and hidden behind a large skeleton. The entrance is underneath the bones, which is why it is so easy to swim straight past.

This is the second of the two problem caves.

Zul'Nazman (56.02, 65.06)

South-east of the Heart of Darkness. There are giant roots here, and the frog sits behind them at the foot of the tree.

Drenched Cavern (44.62, 92.78)

The far south of Nazmir. There are three islands down here. Head for the middle one and go into the cave behind it. There are riverbeasts inside, so you will know you have the right cave.

Antul'Mita Plateau (24.17, 91.72)

South-west, almost on the Zuldazar border. There is a small area with gorillas in it. The frog is on a cliff just before you reach the gorillas, sitting among the trees.

Primal Wetlands (28.89, 83.16)

There are two caves here and the obvious one is wrong. The frog is in the upper cave, above the one used by the Azerite world quest.

There is a waterfall in this area with the rare Infected Direhorn underneath it. Starting from his cave, follow the mountain wall southwards and you will see a path leading up the mountain. Take it: the frog is in the cave at the top.

The path up starts just to the left of the lower cave's entrance, so if you find yourself standing in the world quest cave, you are one level too low. Coming from the pterrodax plateau works too: cross the tree root, then take the lower path to the right. The frog can also sit slightly off the listed spot, closer to 28.5, 82.4.

Plains of Tojek (21.86, 69.34)

West to south-west. Follow the road that runs from Vol'dun into Nazmir and you will come to a river with a waterfall. There is a big tree right at the point where the waterfall begins, and the frog sits near it by the river.

Grimwatt's Crash (34.15, 61.91)

West-central Nazmir, near the Burial Mound subzone. The frog is inside a small underground cave, and the entrance is just west of the coordinate itself.

Stuck at 9/10

This is the real difficulty of Hoppin' Sad, and it has very little to do with finding frogs.

A frog you have already shooed is gone from the world, for you, permanently. An empty cave does not mean the spot is wrong, it means you did that one already, possibly years ago without noticing.

Almost every stalled counter comes back to that one fact.

The two eastern underwater caves get swapped

If a marker sends you to an empty cave, go and check the other one. This single mix-up is behind most stalled counters.

Razorjaw River (65.57, 50.93) and The Shattered River (69.57, 58.66) sit close together and look alike, and the numbered lists in circulation mix them up. The confusion runs both ways: the frog you are missing at 65.6 may be filed in your notes as 69.5, or exactly the reverse.

Your addon is probably repeating the same mistake

HandyNotes and the Battle for Azeroth treasure addons inherit the same bad numbering. Expect markers pointing confidently at caves you have already cleared, while the frog you actually need sits unmarked in the other one. When a marker turns out to be empty, go and check the cave it is not pointing at.

Ask the game which ones you have done

Each frog quietly completes a hidden quest when you shoo it, and those quest IDs run from 53417 to 53426. This prints the state of all ten at once:

/run for i=53417,53426 do print(i, C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(i) and "done" or "MISSING") end

If your client refuses the loop, check the IDs one at a time with the same call.

Run it on the character that actually did the shooing. The achievement is account-wide but the hidden quests are recorded per character, so an alt will report all ten missing.

Read the result for the count, not for the location. The numbering that circulates alongside these IDs has been wrong for years, and the quest reported as missing is frequently not the spot you would expect. Knowing that one is genuinely missing is reliable. Knowing which spot it belongs to is not, so use the macro to confirm you really are short one, then go and physically visit the locations again.

Last resort

If you have visited all ten in person and the counter still refuses to move, open a ticket. Blizzard can check the ten quest IDs against your character and grant the achievement outright.

Spotting them in the field

Spam this while you explore an area, and it will ping as soon as one is in range:

/target Lost Spawn of Krag'wa/ping [@target] Attack

Hunters have it easier still: the spawns count as beasts, so you can simply track them.
