The longest list of the six
Thirteen subzones, more than any other Battle for Azeroth zone, and Vol'dun is also the least forgiving to cross on foot: it is long north to south, mostly desert, and the flight points are thin at the southern end.
The lap above runs from the coast in the north down to the Temple of Akunda at the bottom. Done in that order it is one pass. Done in the order you happen to unlock them, it is three.
Why this one is worth doing early
The six zone exploration achievements together make up Battle for Azeroth Explorer, which is a step towards Pathfinder and flying in Kul Tiras and Zandalar. Doing them before anything else in the expansion pays for itself immediately, because every other achievement out here is faster from the air.
