What the achievement asks
Reach Maximum reputation with the Cobalt Assembly. Ten points, account-wide.
Where and what it is
The Cobalt Assembly sits in the north of The Azure Span at 49 23. It is not a renown faction and there are no world quests, no weekly bundle and no catch-up. Reputation comes from tokens dropped by the mobs there, and from nothing else.
The track has five ranks, and the totals are smaller than they look.
| Rank | Reputation needed |
|---|---|
| Empty | 0 |
| Low | 300 |
| Medium | 1,200 |
| High | 3,600 |
| Maximum | 10,000 |
The achievement lands the moment the bar shows 5/5. There is no further ten thousand to earn after reaching Maximum, whatever the table's layout suggests.
Do these two things before you pull anything
Complete the introductory quests. They take a few minutes and they are what lets the tokens drop at all.
Buy the reputation buff. An NPC in the camp, Xavin, sells a 30% bonus to Cobalt Assembly reputation for a couple of hundred resources. It is cheap, it lasts, and it takes a third off everything below.
The two things that actually decide how long this takes
Loot after every single kill. This is the big one. Reputation tokens go into pooled loot, and a pool only ever holds one of each token type. Mass-pull six mobs, kill them all, then loot, and you collect one of each. Loot each body as it drops and you collect two or three of the same token from the same pack.
That single habit roughly doubles the rate, and it is the opposite of how most players farm.
Kill the small ones. Altered Wymlings are the tiny, near-defenceless creatures in the south-west of the Assembly. They have almost no health, they respawn quickly, and they drop a fifty-reputation token about one time in five. Players who have compared approaches report farming wymlings beating both mass-pulling elites and hunting for a busy shard.
The ice lake around 43 30 is the other spot worth a loop: fast respawns, so the circuit is short, and the small wyrms there drop the higher-value tokens more often than the mobs in the main camps.
Dodge the elementals rather than fighting them. They slow you down, which is the only currency that matters here.
